What is YTH CON?
YTH CON is a spiritually-focused weekend designed to engage, encourage, and equip Kansas students and leaders. Each service will challenge us to become true followers of Jesus by fully engaging in worship, the Word, and the altar. Our desire is that every person will leave feeling encouraged by the services, times of connection, and fun. Our prayer is to see the next generation be equipped to RUN FREE! (John 8:36)

SPEAKERS
Austin Westlake
Austin Westlake is a third generation Assemblies Of God minister who heard the call to preach at the age of 16 while attending the Assemblies of God National Youth Convention. He went on to attend Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri where he met his wife Lauren. Upon graduating from CBC, Austin and Lauren became youth pastors at Sheffield Family Life Center, an inner-city church located in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2018 the Westlakes stepped into the role of District Youth Directors for the Southern Missouri District of the Assemblies of God. In 2022 the Westlakes began a new season by joining the AG National Youth Ministries team as the Director of Student Discipleship where they oversee National Fine Arts, Teen Bible Quiz, and Student Resource Development. Together Austin and Lauren have three children; Jude, Quinn, and Tate.
Hannah Peoples
Hannah Peoples currently serves as the Kansas District Youth Director. She and her husband, Josh, were born and raised in Kansas and grew up attending KYM events. Hannah graduated with her bachelor’s in Practical Theology from Southeastern University in 2013 and her master’s in Practical Theology from Nelson University in 2019. Prior to coming to the network office, Hannah and Josh served for 15 years at Mission Hill Church in Topeka where they held volunteer, staff, and lead pastor roles. With over a decade of youth ministry experience, Hannah is passionate about helping students and leaders become all God created them to be.
Nelson Worship
If you were at camp this summer, then you know how incredible the Nelson Worship team is! The team is made up of college students from across the country. They are anointed worship leaders whose hearts are to help others connect to God through music. We can’t wait to have them lead us for all three services at YTH CON!
